A book club, The Argonauts, is a group of Oxfordshire women with all but one of them in their late autumn years. One day, all is normal, the next - nothing is the same as before. The army has isolated their village and the close countryside around it. No explanation is forthcoming, as Chinooks patrol the sky at night.

What they have is each other, ready as always to face any challenge in a resolute manner, as they gradually become aware of a strange new visitor hidden in their locality. This is the third book in this series which follow the extraordinary events that befall this group of aging middle class English women, and perhaps one of the naughtiest of those published so far.
