Written, directed, and produced by Mol Smith for Onview Films, The Ambassador is a low-budget indie thriller short that centers on a desperate, dying woman who travels to the outskirts of a local town seeking a specific man—only to inadvertently be assisted by the very target she has been searching for. As she relies on his unique abilities as her sole chance for survival, her plight is further complicated by a vengeful assassin closing in fast on her trail.
Utilizing Smith’s signature guerrilla-style filmmaking, tight framing, and dark suspense, the short weaves a tense narrative of desperate choices, unexpected alliances, and impending violence.
