About The Festival
The 8th Renderyard Short Film Festival takes place from the 23 to 24 November 2012 at the
Theatre of Ibercaja Cultural Center in Logrono, La Rioja the wine capital of Spain.
The exclusive Renderyard Short Film Festival application will be available on Smart TVs from 19 November
where viewers will be able to watch the selected short films for a one-off subscription."
The festival is held in partnership with the Think TIC, La Rioja's Technology and Communications Centre, Spain.
This year, Renderyard has partnered with woomi to create the first ever film festival on Smart TV via an
exclusive Renderyard Short Film Festival application.
Woomi is available on Toshiba and Panasonic smart TVs, and via TechniSat ISIO receivers and accessed by
millions of connected devices across Europe and the UK. The Renderyard Short Film Festival provides a
platform for international filmmakers and animators to showcase their latest work, focusing on
experimentation and creativity through workshops using cutting-edge equipment, video editing
and 3D animation technologies.
Over the last eight years Renderyard has built and fostered very strong links with leading film professionals.
Directors are invited to discuss their film work and participate in Q&A sessions with the audience.
Films shown from previous festivals have include FIX starring Olivia Wilde, Red Princes Blues directed
by Alex Ferrari, My Way directed by Goya Winner J.A Salgot, Peace One Day starring Jude Law and the multi
award winning animation Sebastian's Voodoo.
The winning films will be selected to receive the coveted Renderyard Award and will also receive $1,000
worth of amazing digital prizes from our sponsor Joby. Each selected festival film will have the creator's
profile and a short film clip of their work placed on the Renderyard TV Channel and website to remain there
after the Festival ends.
